Getting a natural hug
Say who moves first. When both people are told to move at once, the engine tends to merge them; when one steps in and the other receives, the motion reads as a real embrace. Give the hold a duration ("hold for a few seconds") so the clip does not end on the approach.
Keep the camera still. Every good hug prompt in the library says "stationary camera". A slow push-in can work on a second try, once the motion is right.
Consent and who can appear
