Seedance 2.5 Prompts: The Guide and 32 Tested Prompts

Seedance 2.5 rewards direction, not description. This guide covers the structure it responds to, how to pace a 30-second take, how to write for its audio, and 32 prompts you can copy or open straight in the generator.

The Seedance 2.5 prompt formula

Write the parts in this order. Each one answers a question the model otherwise guesses.

  1. 01

    Subject

“A woman in a camel coat”

  2. 02

    Action

“walks toward the camera and stops at the curb”

  3. 03

    Camera

“slow tracking shot backward, eye level”

  4. 04

    Light and look

“dusk, warm shop windows, shallow depth of field”

  5. 05

    Sound

“footsteps on wet pavement, light traffic”

Direct the shot like a camera operator

Seedance 2.5 treats the prompt as a shot description. Say what the camera does with a named move (push in, pull back, orbit, crane up, tracking, handheld, locked-off) and it will hold that move for the whole take. If you leave the camera out, it picks one, and on a 30-second clip that guess usually wanders.

One move per clip is the reliable default. Two moves work when you order them in time: “holds still, then slowly pushes in”.

Vague

A nice shot of a coffee cup in a cafe.

Directed

Macro shot of a ceramic coffee cup on a wooden counter, steam rising. The camera slowly pushes in and settles on the rim. Morning window light, soft cafe chatter.

Pace thirty seconds

A 30-second take needs enough events to fill it. Write the action as a sequence with time words: “first”, “then”, “finally”, or approximate beats like “for the first few seconds”. Three beats fill thirty seconds comfortably; one beat stretched that long turns into slow drift.

If the clip only needs one moment, generate 5 or 10 seconds instead. It is cheaper and tighter.

Vague

A man opens a gift box. 30 seconds.

Directed

A man sits at a kitchen table with a small wrapped box. First he turns it over in his hands, then slowly unties the ribbon, then lifts the lid and smiles at what is inside. Warm lamp light, locked-off camera, paper rustling.

Write for the audio track

The model generates sound from the prompt, so give it something to work with. Name two or three sounds that belong to the scene: the dominant one first. Spoken lines go in quotes and are lip-matched to whoever is speaking.

Say “no music” when you plan to add your own track; otherwise the model may add a score.

Use the last frame and references deliberately

A last-frame image fixes where the clip ends. Describe the motion that gets there and let the image do the rest. It is the most reliable way to make before-and-after reveals and to cut cleanly into a next shot.

References are for things that are hard to describe: a specific character, a room, a rhythm. Mention each one in the prompt by role (“the woman from the reference”, “the room in the reference image”) so the model knows what to take from it.

Product and ads

Turntable hero

A glass perfume bottle on a black mirrored surface rotates slowly through a full turn. A single hard light from above throws a caustic pattern on the surface. Locked-off camera. Quiet, low ambient hum.

Works at 30s for a full rotation.

Unboxing top-down

Top-down shot of hands opening a minimal white box on a linen tablecloth, lifting tissue paper to reveal a silver watch. Soft daylight, slow and deliberate movements. Paper rustle, a soft click as the lid opens.

Splash moment

Slow motion: a fresh orange drops into a glass of sparkling water, bubbles and droplets rising around it. Bright studio backlight, clean white background. A crisp splash and fizz.

Morning routine

A woman in a bright bathroom picks up a skincare bottle, applies a drop to her fingertips and smooths it onto her cheek, then smiles at her reflection. Soft window light, handheld camera. Running tap in the background.

Coffee pour

Close-up of espresso pouring from a machine into a clear glass cup, crema forming. The camera slowly orbits the cup. Warm cafe light, steam, the hiss of the machine.

Sneaker on the move

Low tracking shot beside a runner’s white sneakers striking a wet track at dawn, water spraying on each step. The camera keeps pace. Rhythmic footfalls and steady breathing.

Cinematic and film

Rain-soaked alley

Night. A man in a long dark coat walks slowly down a narrow alley lit by a flickering neon sign, rain falling in the light. The camera follows from behind at a distance. Rain on metal, a distant car passing.

Desert crossing

Extreme wide shot of a lone traveler crossing sand dunes at golden hour, long shadow stretching behind. The camera cranes up slowly to reveal the scale of the desert. Wind over sand.

Window at dawn

A woman stands at a tall window holding a mug, watching the city wake up. First light moves across her face. The camera holds still, then slowly pushes in. Faint traffic, a kettle clicking off.

Train platform goodbye

A crowded train platform in winter. A man steps onto the train and turns back to wave as the doors close. The camera stays on the platform as the train pulls away. Station announcements, steam, a whistle.

Lighthouse storm

A lighthouse on a cliff in a storm, waves breaking high against the rocks, the beam sweeping through rain. Slow push toward the lighthouse. Crashing waves and howling wind.

Old library

A slow dolly down the aisle of an old library, sunlight falling through tall windows onto dust in the air. At the end of the aisle a man looks up from a book. Pages turning, a clock ticking.

People and dialogue

Direct to camera

A man in his thirties sits in a warm home office and looks into the camera. He says, "Here is the one thing I wish I had known sooner." Medium close-up, soft key light, quiet room tone.

Quotes trigger lip-matched speech.

Two friends at a table

Two women sit across a cafe table laughing. One leans in and says, "You did not actually say that." The other covers her face and laughs harder. Handheld medium shot, cafe noise.

Street interview

A woman on a busy sidewalk turns to the camera, pauses, and says, "Honestly? I would do it all again." Handheld, natural daylight, city ambience.

Coach before the game

In a locker room, a coach in a tracksuit faces the team off camera and says, "Play the next five minutes like they are the only five." Slow push in, fluorescent light, echoing room.

Voiceover-ready

A man walks slowly along a beach at sunset, looking out at the water. No dialogue on screen. Waves and gulls only, no music.

Leave room for your own voiceover.

Nature and travel

Waterfall mist

A tall waterfall pouring into a green pool, mist drifting through sunbeams. The camera slowly rises from the water line to the top of the falls. Roaring water, birds.

Northern lights

Green and violet northern lights ripple over a frozen lake and snowy pines. Slow pan from left to right. Near silence, a soft wind.

Market morning

A walk through a morning fruit market in a Mediterranean town, stalls of bright produce, vendors arranging crates. Smooth handheld tracking shot. Chatter, a bicycle bell.

Cliff road drive

Aerial shot following a red convertible along a coastal cliff road, the sea bright below. The camera slowly overtakes the car. Engine hum and wind.

Tide coming in

Low angle at the edge of a sandy beach as a wave rolls in and washes over the lens-level sand, then retreats. Locked-off camera. Surf and a gull.

Anime and stylized

Anime train window

Anime style. A young man leans his head against a train window at dusk, fields and power lines sliding past outside. Soft pastel colors. Train rhythm and a gentle chime.

Watercolor village

Watercolor animation style. A quiet hillside village in the rain, lanterns glowing, a woman with a red umbrella crossing a stone bridge. Slow pan. Rain and a distant bell.

Clay-style kitchen

Stop-motion clay style. A cheerful clay chef flips a pancake that lands perfectly in the pan, then bows. Bright colors, slightly jerky stop-motion timing. Sizzle and a small drumroll.

Retro 16-bit city

Pixel art style, 16-bit. A neon city street at night with rain, a character in a hooded jacket walking past glowing signs. Side-scrolling camera. Chiptune ambience.

Ink wash mountains

Traditional ink wash style. Mist flows between tall mountain peaks, a small boat drifts on the river below. The camera glides slowly forward. Water and wind.

Long takes and endings

Room walkthrough (30s)

A smooth steadicam walkthrough of a bright modern apartment: first the entrance hall, then the open kitchen, then the living room with floor-to-ceiling windows, ending on the balcony view. Soft daylight, footsteps on wood.

Day to night (30s)

A locked-off wide shot of a city skyline. The sun sets, the sky turns orange then deep blue, and the windows light up one by one until it is night. Rising evening city ambience.

Garden reveal to last frame

The camera starts on a wooden gate, which swings open. It moves slowly through into a garden and ends on the view in the last-frame image. Birdsong and a creaking gate.

Add the garden as the last-frame image.

Loop-ready ending

Gentle waves roll onto a pebble beach and draw back. The final seconds return to the same framing and wave position as the first frame so the clip loops. Locked-off camera, surf sound.

Settle and hold

A paper boat drifts along a small stream, spins once in an eddy and comes to rest against a mossy stone. The camera follows, then holds still for the final seconds. Trickling water.

Frequently asked questions

What makes a good Seedance 2.5 prompt?

Five parts in order: subject, action, camera, light and look, sound. Name the camera move explicitly and give the action enough beats to fill the clip length you chose.

How long should a Seedance 2.5 prompt be?

One to four sentences. Longer prompts are fine for 30-second clips if every sentence adds an event or a sound; repeated adjectives do not help.

How do I get dialogue in Seedance 2.5?

Put the spoken line in quotes and say who says it: The man says, "…". Keep lines short; one or two sentences per speaker fit a 10-second clip.

Why does my 30-second clip drift?

Usually because the prompt describes one moment. Add a sequence (first, then, finally) or lock the camera. If you only need one moment, generate 10 seconds instead.

Can I use these prompts on other engines?

Yes. The structure works on every engine in AI Video Pro. Audio lines only produce sound on engines with native audio, and clips longer than 15 seconds need Seedance 2.5 or Wan 3.0 Prime.

Are there content rules?

Yes. GoCrazyAI is for adults (18+) only. Prompts that break the community guidelines are blocked automatically, and uploads are checked before generation.
